What We Do
Through education, collaboration, and advocacy, NH Healthy Climate connects healthcare professionals, communities, and leaders across New Hampshire to address climate and health. Learn more about these areas of work below.
Providing resources for healthcare workers and promoting climate-informed care
Connecting with NH Clinicians
NH Healthy Climate worked with Dartmouth Health Children’s and the Geisel School of Medicine to develop the ecoAmerica award-winning Climate-informed Pediatric Care (CIPC) to address the growing health impacts of climate change on children and work toward establishing climate-informed care as a standard practice within pediatric clinics.
Building on that work, NH Healthy Climate launched Environmental Health & Resilience for NH Students (EHR for NH Students), a continuing education module and supplemental resources for NH school nurses, tailoring our CIPC program to the unique audience of school nurses on the frontlines of public health.

Connecting with NH Communities
Promoting adaptation by educating communities on the connection between climate and health

To reach people at home, we host a monthly webinar series featuring dynamic experts on local to global climate health issues and interventions.
Connecting with NH Community Leaders
Advocating for climate solutions to improve health for all
NH Healthy Climate’s Policy & Advocacy Working Group mobilizes healthcare workers and the public in support of actions and policies that mitigate the impact of climate on health.
Together with our volunteers, we advocate at the federal, state, and municipal levels educating elected leaders on pressing climate health concerns.
Annually, our Children’s Health Working Group engages NH mayors to celebrate Children’s Environmental Health Day and increase the visibility of children's environmental health issues across the state.
